New executive role enhances Modaxo’s capacity to drive growth, as global transportation veteran joins the leadership team

TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Modaxo Inc. (“Modaxo”), a global technology organization focused on moving the world’s people, today announced the appointment of Ian Woodroofe as Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Bill Delaney.

Ian Woodroofe, Chief Strategy Officer, Modaxo

Woodroofe will own Modaxo’s market and competitive strategy across its verticals: transit operations, fare collection, parking and traffic management, and airports and aviation; will build and coordinate the relationships with customers and partners who work with more than one Modaxo business; and will support Modaxo’s M&A process.

The newly created role has been established to deliver a portfolio-wide view of Modaxo’s growth opportunities and to build the strategic approach for realizing those opportunities.

Woodroofe brings more than two decades of experience in international transportation, payments, safety, security and control solutions, most recently in senior business development and transformation roles at Cubic Transportation Systems and Thales. His track record includes building high-performing global teams across diverse geographies and cultures, establishing major industry payment partnerships, and coordinating large accounts across organizational boundaries. Over his career Woodroofe grew Cubic’s top-line results by circa $1 billion year-on-year and Thales’ top-line results by $3.5 billion over six years, and he is well connected across the global transportation ecosystem.

“We are delighted to welcome Ian to the Modaxo family,” said Bill Delaney, Chief Executive Officer, Modaxo. “His experience building trust and driving growth across large, complex organizations makes him ideally positioned to help us realize our goal of enabling two billion journeys every day by 2035.”

“It’s an honor to join Modaxo,” said Ian Woodroofe, Chief Strategy Officer, Modaxo. “Modaxo’s scale and depth of expertise in people movement is impressive, and I’m looking forward to working with the executive team and our portfolio businesses to bring focus to where we grow and to build the partnerships and customer relationships that belong to Modaxo as a whole.”
